Dear friends, partners, and family,

Richard has begun the dental process. He was referred to a dentist who is an elder at one of PBT’s supporting churches. The impressions have been made and his next appointment is on 9/29. The cost for this phase of work will be just under $700. Dr. Rossen also glued the broken posts back in place, assuring that Richard should be able to keep his teeth in until the new dentures are completed and the extractions can be done. All of this work should be completed by mid-October, rather than the last part of November. Dr. Rossen is not recommending  going to the high cost of implants at this time, wanting to wait at least six months for the jaw to completely heal from the extractions and letting the new dentures settle in. We will then decide whether or not to go ahead with implants, or stay with dentures.

When we returned home from the dentist for lunch, we were greeted by a sick Pippin. We got her into a vet and he did some blood work. Her cholesterol is very high and her protein levels are low. Her kidney and liver functions are out of line, as well. Thankfully, the vet felt this could all be taken care of through diet, moving Pippin to a mature dog food. She is almost 10 years old, so I guess it is time to think of her as “mature”, but it is hard to imagine a mature Corgi! We’re praying that this will bring her weight down and get her back in shape. Cymar gets to benefit from the new diet, too, even though he is only about 7. Pray for them both to start liking the new food, and praise God that Pippin did not require surgery or treatment!

Our newsletter and all return envelopes will reflect this new address. If you do online banking and send us a check through your bank (as opposed to doing a credit card or electronic transfer) please change our Cedar Hill address to this one. We haven’t moved, but we got a more convenient and less expensive post office box. It’s a simpler address, too!

Please, continue to pray for our finances! If you do not financially partner with us in our ministry at Pioneer Bible Translators, prayerfully consider doing so.

Dear friends, partners, and family,

The other day we sent you a prayer request regarding our finances and Richard’s dental situation. Well, here’s what we need, no holding back.

  • Richard had a dental appointment Friday to go over what needs to be done. The bottom line is a lot of work that will run big bucks–an estimated $6,000. It include a new denture, extractions and new implants. Please pray for God to provide for this.
  • Josi has been having shoulder and back problems that have been building up for some time. The doctor believes she may have tears in her right rotator cuff. To be sure she will need an MRI. This procedure can not be done at the campus clinic and, from our past experiences, will be a large expense. Again, please pray for God to provide for this.

We ask you to take these needs before the Lord and to share them with your friends and church. There is no way for us to do this on our own and it is only possible through God’s provision. We only ask God’s people to help us in our ministry to do God’s work.

As always, you are a blessing to us.

In Christ’s Service

Dear friends, partners, and family,

There has been a long lapse in our updates. We would seriously appreciate your prayers regarding these matters:

  • Of course, finances are one area of concern. Praises to God for several new financial partners: Linda, Mickie, Lester and Donna, Tom and June, Gary and Betty, Fela, Duane, Susie, and Jamie. And all the others who are faithful partners. Without you we couldn’t do what we do.
  • Richard has four lower front teeth that are on posts to hold his bridge in place. Two of the posts have broken. X-rays showed that the posts were placed in the roots of four front teeth. The root canal done on one has become exposed and has abscessed. The dentist is consulting with other doctors in the clinic on campus to discuss options for treatment. Pray for the dentists to have wisdom and discernment and for Richard to be released from pain.
  • Several of our friends have need of your prayers: Joe and Vikki, Mama Shirley, Walter and Diana, Gary and Betty, Andrea, Becky, Sharon, Shannon, Elenora and Dale, Jay, and others. I can’t share all of their needs with you, but please lift them in prayer, by name.

As always, our prayers are with you. You are a blessing to us.

In Christ’s Service
Richard and Josi Ingram
